Dan Kane
Executive
Director, NRRC
|
Dan Kane brings over 20 years of public and
private sector experience, including
law enforcement, security, information systems, public
relations, and project management, to the unique mission of NRRC.
He has provided consulting, program design, and training services for
some of the world's largest organizations, including major airlines,
financial institutions, industrial sites, technology companies, and
public safety agencies. He previously served as Director of the
National Law Enforcement & Security Institute.
Dan Kane
is often sought by news organizations, event planners, and educational
institutions for his perspective on current local, national
and world events and to assess the impact they have on the safety and
security of us all. |

Mike Gillette
Director,
Crisis Management Services |
Mike Gillette
serves as Director of
Crisis Management Services and as Team Leader of the NRRC Incident
Support Team. He has previously held posts as Director of Training for
the Institute for Security Studies at the University of Nevada, Las
Vegas and Director of Training for the National Law Enforcement and
Security Institute.
Following 9-11, Gillette emerged as a leading threat management
consultant for the airline and entertainment industries. He has
authored counter-terrorism training curricula for the Department of
Homeland Security (DHS) and he served as project manager for the State
of Nevada Vulnerability Assessment conducted on behalf of the DHS.
His unique background also includes frequent assignments providing
close-protection services for some of the world’s wealthiest
businessmen. His previous professional experience has spanned the
fields of law enforcement, military service and the martial arts. |

John Fulton
Intelligence Systems |
John
Fulton’s 25 years in the intelligence community has contributed to his
recognition as an expert in risk & threat response analysis, scenario gaming,
and strategic planning. He is on staff for the Central Intelligence Agency
(CIA), currently serving as Chief of the Strategic War Gaming Division of the
National Reconnaissance Office, and as a member of U.S. Joint Forces
Command's Project Alpha - a prestigious "think tank" for advanced concepts
related to such issues as homeland security. He formerly served as the
mission director for our nation's satellite imagery program as well as replacing
Army Astronaut Same Gemar as the Director of the National Security Space Master
Plan for the U.S. Department of Defense and Intelligence Space Communities under
the auspices of the Deputy UnderSecretary of Defense (Space).
His counter-terrorism and homeland security responsibilities include advising
the Director Central Intelligence Staff for Homeland Security, the U.S.
Marshall's Office, and collaboration with the National Security Council.

James Sudderth

James Sudderth
has been involved in
virtually every aspect of U.S. Army special operations, combating terrorism
initiatives, responding to potential proliferation of Weapons of Mass
Destruction (WMD) and various classified counter-proliferation projects for over
20 years. A longtime member of the Army’s 1st Special Forces Operational
Detachment-Delta (Delta Force), Sudderth has participated in some of the best
known and least known military operations of the past 20 years.
Sudderth is currently the Combating Terrorism
Program Manager for a major government contractor, responsible for all aspects
of support for first responder training, risk and vulnerability assessments and
other initiatives in support of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and
various states and municipalities. A subject matter expert in
chemical/biological Weapons of Mass Destruction research technologies, Sudderth
also served as a United Nations Weapons Inspector on a number of inspection
teams. |

Marion
Sloane Jr.
Emergency
Management |
Marion Sloane Jr. is a Senior Operations Specialist with the
Counter-Terrorism Operations Support Division of a major government contractor.
Sloane retired from the Indiana
State Emergency Management Agency as Director of Preparedness in 1996, where his
responsibilities included the management of a statewide emergency management
planning, training and exercise program. He was also responsible for managing
the Urban Search and Rescue training program, the Chemical Stockpile Emergency
Preparedness Program, and the State Forward Response Team operations.
Sloane has also served as an adjunct instructor and curriculum designer with the
Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Emergency Management Institute. |

Alexis
Artwohl, Ph.D.

Incidents |
Dr.
Alexis Artwohl
is a highly
sought-after subject-matter expert in the fields of both organizational and
critical incident stress. Dr. Artwohl was in private practice as both
a clinical and police psychologist for over 15 years. As a result of
this experience, Artwohl co-authored the book Deadly Force Encounters,
an examination of the best ways for law enforcement personnel to prepare for
and recover from the unique stresses associated with the use of deadly
force.
Dr. Artwohl’s unique
emotional resilience research provides specific recommendations for
optimizing human performance during critical incidents and how best to
reduce their adverse affects to employees, the affected organization and the
community. |

Joe French
Communications Center Operations |
Joe French
has spent his career in
the telecommunications industry performing planning, engineering, and
operations management, including call-center operations and computer
systems.
French
has over 35 years experience in both telecommunications and facilities
management with Qwest Communications. His current responsibilities include
operations and maintenance assurance of over 2 million square feet of
communications facilities, including the planning and implementation of
major electrical and mechanical systems, facilities expansions, and
reconfigurations to support a myriad of functions. French is also
responsible for the development and implementation of fire and life safety
plans as well as disaster recovery plans for all of these locations. |
